I am an experienced English teacher of both Literature and Language, and also Classical Studies at High School level. You will find text-based resources for novels, poetry, plays and film study in my shop for Years 7 - 13. The resources are generic to the text so are suitable for any curriculum. I am also a passionate believer in effective literacy learning hence the emphasis on phonics resources in my shop.

32 bright, colourful flashcards each depicting a word. Students have to say or write that word depending on the word class listed at the bottom of the card. (Verb, adjective, proper noun, abstract noun, noun. ) This is an excellent revision game for students to distinguish between word classes. Reverse side of the cards is included as an option should you wish to print and laminate them for a group activity : )

Dinosaur themed visual sentence building cards. Students will need to include an auxillary verb, possessive noun and a preposition (or more depending on the length of the sentence.) This is a neat confidence boosting activity for early literacy. (Boys who sometimes struggle with reading fluency and polysyllabic words seem to engage with dinosaurs really well!) 8 who cards 8 what cards 8 where cards. Students are free to mix and match but must use at least one card from each colour group to make the sentence.

Students who struggle with letter formation appreciate the enlarged size. The larger letters also allow for wooden / plastic letters to be placed on them depending on the size of the copy.
